Blog: '65 Oldsmobile Convertible Spotted in Port Jeff

Carlisle Johnny spotted another classic car cruising around Port Jeff.

Cruising around Port Jefferson on a summer day is cool but it's much cooler if your can put the top down. Classic car blogger Carlisle Johnny spotted a 1965 Oldsmobile Starfire Convertible in the village the other day and wrote about it on the me4portjeff.com website.

"GM and Oldsmobile had the world on string in the 60′s," wrote Johnny. "With superior mechanics and cars styled by design guru Bill Mitchell, Olds had a banner year in 1965."

The '65 Olds Starfire was seen in out on the streets on Memorial Day this year.

"Painted in its original 'Provincial White' it was a welcome addition to the parade of fine collector vehicles that graced the streets of Port Jefferson for start of  summer 2011," said Johnny.
