Event Spotlight: Heritage Park Unveiling Water Authority Kiosk
Celebrate Earth Day in Mt. Sinai with the unveiling of a new hydrogeology kiosk in Heritage Park.
Representatives of the Suffolk County Water Authority will unveil the new hydrogeology kiosk in Heritage Park on Earth Day, April 22.
About six years ago Stephen Jones of the SCWA agreed to install a SCWA sponsored kiosk in Heritage Park. While Jones has retired, the idea of the kiosk stayed alive, has been created by the SCWA and will be installed around April 19.
The kiosk will be unveiled at 10 a.m and aims to raise awareness about the source of water and to help educate the visitors to the park about our sole source of water. Celebrate Earth Day by getting an early look at this educational new resource in Mt. Sinai.
