Get Out: Take Your Dog for a Walk and Get Your Green on

This weekend you can also attend a doggie fashion show and hear live music.

Where/When: on Saturday, June 11 at 10 a.m.

What: An adult program sponsored by the Town of Brookhaven and conducted by Eileen Gerle, Environmental Educator. During this walk you will learn about seasonal and yearlong residents that make up the beach, including flora, fauna and other plants. Binoculars suggested, comfortable shoes and hat a must. Reservations are required and programs will not be conducted in inclement weather.

What: The Third Annual Green Fest of Port Jefferson Village Sponsored by the Greater Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce. In today's society, “Green” is the newest movement of our time. Everyone everywhere is becoming more conscious of our environment, and wondering how to protect and guard it for future generations. What is going on in the environment is affecting everyone, and the answer today is to “Go Green”, become environmentally and eco-friendly, and to start reducing our carbon footprint.

Price: Free.

Where/When: on Saturday, June 11 at 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.

What: A 2011 Topps 2 Baseball Release Party open to everyone. Enjoy an evening of food, games and prizes. Chance to win a Hank Aaron Mitchell and Ness throwback signed jersey or Alex Rodriguez signed ball. Free $25 gift bag.

Where/When: on Saturday, June 11 at 6 p.m.

What: Sponsored by O'Brien's Ale House Grill, The New York Wrestling Connection is back in the area. Attend the "School's Almost Out" event for an evening of wrestling Main Event will consist of Apollyon and Rex Lawless with Crusher Doogan vs. "Big Time Rush" ("Big Time" Tony Burma and Ryan "Adrenaline" Rush)

Price: $15.

Where/When:  on Saturday, June 11 at 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.

What: The return of Diane Romanello to Imagine Gallery for a special exhibit of original art from her new collection. Diane is one the best known Long Island artists and her scenic paintings are characterized by a sense of beauty and romance, inviting the viewer into a serene, natural world. This will be her only showing on Long Island this year. Her work will be on display until July 1.

Price: Free.

Where/When:  on Saturday, June 11 at 8 p.m. - 11 p.m.

What: Homegrown Music Café is a monthly concert series featuring Long Island and Regional singer songwriters and bands. It is considered one of the finest, intimate venues in Suffolk County. All net proceeds from the $5 donation at the door go to the St. Gerard Majella parish outreach program, which feeds and clothes hundreds of Long Islanders.

Price: Free.

Where/When: on Saturday, June 11 at 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

What: Save-A-Pet is hosting their 12th Annual Hounds on the Sound 3K Dog Walk and Adoption Event. Please meet at Memorial Park, west of the PJ Ferry and across from the Village Hall.

Price: Registration is $30 each and includes a free t-shirt and gift bag.

Where/When: on Sunday, June 12 at 2 - 2:30 p.m.

What: is hosting a free doggie fashion show at Hounds on the Sound. Stop by and see the latest canine fashions. Everything will be able for purchase and special orders are available. Mention you saw them on Patch and get a free baggie of all natural dog treats.
