A Facebook group called "Hey Long Island... Do U Remember....?" has formed and is filling up with tons of questions from people all over the Island recalling memories of trends, stores, hangouts, foods and more from the past.
People from the Port Jefferson area have also taken to the group to rekindle memories of days past from the area. Bill Jacobs reminisced about the Wagon Wheel restaurant in Port Jefferson Station, which is a popular topic on the forum.
Renee Rodgers remembered it saying that it was the "place to go for a special night!" Loretta Schmidt Halliday said her brother got married there and according to her it was located where the is now on Route 112.
Many have also discussed Good Skates, Rocketship Park, and the Hounds and Foxes on Route 112.
