Inspired by the Colors of Port Jeff

Color specialist from Port Jefferson blogs about her hometown inspiration.

Interior designer Donna Frasca grew up in Port Jefferson. She says on her website that she spent the first 28 years of her life here. Her specialty is color, picking the right tones and shades to decorate luxury homes from her company, Decorating by Donna.

Although she now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, Frasca blogs about the inspiration she draws from the nautical colors of Port Jefferson where she was raised. She also talks about fabrics and textures that remind her of the village’s themes.

“The typical colors that come to mind when you say ‘nautical colors’ are red, navy and various blue hues,” she writes on her blog. ‘Keep in mind, there's more to those maritime, sailor loving colors.”
