Three Village Library to Launch ‘Teach Me Mobile’ Education Series

Emma S. Clark Memorial Library launched computer classes quite some time ago, teaching Microsoft applications and other programs to those in the community who need help learning computer literacy. Now, the library is again poised to respond to what it has determined is a need among its patrons: classes to teach people how to use their mobile technology, whether it's a tablet, e-reader, or MP3 player. The series of classes, which library administrators have named "Teach Me Mobile," is expected to make its debut in February.

A 21-year-old man found passed out in his vehicle from a heroin overdose early Thursday morning in Kings Park Plaza was revived by Suffolk County Police who administered doses of Narcan, a prescription drug used to reverse opiate overdoses.

Commack Mother of Three Killed in LIRR Crash

Rocky Point Fire Department Responds to Fire Under Oven at Gyro Palace

The Rocky Point Fire Department was called toGyro Palace on Route 25A in Rocky Point Thursday afternoon for a fire inside the restaurant. According to chief Bill Lattman, the fire sprung up from some garbage under the ovens and was extinguished quickly.
