The tour starts at the on Prospect Street and goes up to High Street, along Thompson and around to East Broadway, past Main Street and ending at the on West Broadway.
It's a pleasant walk when the weather is good but expect to climb some hills. (It gets easier at the end as the walking all starts to go down hill.)
So bring water, a cup of coffee and a snack and enjoy a bit of Port Jefferson history.
The order of the photos in the gallery are in the same order as the Walking Tour Guide provided by the Historical Sociey. The information in the photo credits is from the Historical Society guide. You can pick up copies of the guide at the Port Jefferson Library or from the historical society.Name of Home Address Year Built J.R. Mather House 115 Prospect Street Circa 1840 Capt. Charles E.
