Postcard Shows Main Street Looking North Toward Rail Road Station

We asked you to guess where this historical photo was taken.

On Monday we asked you to guess where this historical photo was taken and when. The answer is Main Street in Port Jefferson Station looking north toward the Port Jefferson Railroad Station and Echo, now Port Jefferson village. The photo for a postcard was taken in the early 20th century. The photographer is unknown.

You can see the photo in the historical archive on the Port Jefferson village website. It comes from the Kenneth Brady Collection.
