Suffolk Water Kiosk Unveiled at Heritage Park

Educational kiosk debuts at Heritage Park in Mt. Sinai.

The Suffolk County Water Authority hydrogeology kiosk was unveiled Monday at Heritage Park in Mt. Sinai.

The kiosk is designed to educate visitors of the park about the source of drinking water in the area, and the sole source aquifer beneath our community.
Brookhaven Supervisor Ed Romaine and Councilwoman Jane Bonner were on hand to help with the unveiling.

“Our groundwater is one of the most precious resources in Brookhaven,” Romaine said. “By teaching our residents and our children about our water source, and the impact of their actions on our aquifer, we enlist them in our efforts to protect our drinking water for generations to come.”
