A look at some upcoming events in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station.

On Monday, most municipal offices, schools, and post offices are closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Here's a look at some upcoming events coming up in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station.

1. On the agenda at Tuesday's Board of Education meeting: the AP program and other important business. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at Edna Louise Spear Elementary School.

2. You can get caught up with happenings on the town level by attending a meeting of the Brookhaven Town Board at Town Hall in Farmingville on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

3. Check out "Cooking Around the World" to learn about the food of Morocco with chef Katherine Dlugolonski at the Port Jefferson Free Library at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Tastings included.
