Art Lecture: Robert Rauschenberg

Robert Rauschenberg was an American painter and graphic artist whose early works anticipated the pop art movement. Rauschenberg wanted to work “in the gap between art and life” and he questioned the distinction between art objects
and everyday objects. In the 1950’s he was well know for his “Combines’ in which non – traditional materials and objects were employed in innovative combinations. Join Art Historian Robert Reis for this illustrated lecture.
