5th Annual Port Jefferson Go Green Fair

Saturday, Nov. 17, marks the fifth annual GO GREEN FAIR, to be held at the Village Center in Port Jefferson.

Come join in the fun from Noon to 4 p.m. and see why "YOUTH IS BUILDING A GREENER FUTURE."

It is positively thrilling to see all our Port Jefferson Village Schools advancing many concepts of a GREENER life style. There are projects going on in all the schools, increasing awareness of the fragile nature of our environment and what we can do about it.

With Co-Sponsors the Port Jefferson Go Green and the Humanities Institute at SUNYSB joining with the Port Jefferson Library and the Port Jefferson School District, there will be an afternoon of great exhibits.

And of course don't forget what has become everyone's favorite, the GREEN ELEPHANT TABLE. These wonderful items are all for free and are either new or very gently used. Participants can exchange their items with others that have been donated. No linens, books, or clothing is part of this event. Bring your items along with you, or just browse and pick up a treasure.

An added bonus will be a musical presentation by the elementary school students. Also LISEC will have the touch tank there and Brookhaven Town Environmental Leader Eileen Gerle will do some exciting fish prints with you.

All this is FREE and we welcome one and all to come join us, listen to the children, and have a great afternoon.
