Blood Drive

John T. Mather Memorial Hospital will hold its fall blood drive on Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 6:30 am until 6:30 pm. The blood drive is open to all community residents.

No appointment is necessary to donate blood. The blood drive will take place in Conference Rooms 3, 4 and 5. Free valet parking is available at the main entrance to community blood donors. All donors will receive a free ticket to a local movie theater and other gifts.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, blood collection efforts were hampered when the majority of regularly scheduled blood drives were cancelled, according to the New York Blood Center, which supplies blood, transfusion products and services to hospitals serving more than 20 million people in New York City, Long Island, the Hudson Valley, New Jersey and parts of Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
