Winter Blood Drive

John T. Mather Memorial Hospital will hold its winter blood drive on Friday, February 15 from 6:30 am until 6:30 pm. The blood drive is open to all community residents.


No appointment is necessary to donate blood. The blood drive will take place in Conference Rooms 3, 4 and 5. Free valet parking is available at the main entrance to community blood donors.


Blood supplies were hampered when last weekend’s snowstorm Nemo forced the cancellation of scheduled blood drives in Suffolk County and elsewhere, according to the New York Blood Center, which supplies blood, transfusion products and services to hospitals serving more than 20 million people in New York City, Long Island, the Hudson Valley, New Jersey and parts of Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
