One Enchanted Evening Gala

The 48th annual One Enchanted Evening Gala for John T. Mather Memorial Hospital will have a “Get your Groove On” 70’s theme this year complete with disco balls, lava lamps and bell bottoms. The gala takes place Friday, Oct. 18 at 7 pm at Villa Lombardi’s in Holbrook.

Mather’s largest fundraiser supports the Fortunato Breast Health Center and its mission to provide state-of-the-art breast healthcare in surroundings that offer a sense of comfort, privacy and the assurance that each patient’s individual needs will be met.

The Hospital also will honor those who have helped it fulfill its mission to provide a wide spectrum of healthcare services of the highest quality to the residents of Suffolk County in a cost effective manner. Brian McAuliff, founder and principal of Bri-Tech, is the 2013 Community Honoree. Vascular surgeon Kara H.V. Kvilekval, MD; volunteer Mike Focazio; on-air personality “Fingers” of WBAB Radio; the Long Island Rail Road; and WALK Radio will be honored as the 2013 Theodore Roosevelt Award winners. The Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council created the Theodore Roosevelt Awards more than 50 years ago to honor those who demonstrate exceptional volunteer commitment to a member hospital and their community.
