Island Christian Church 1st Year Anniversary

Island Christian Church, Port Jefferson Celebrates First Anniversary  On April 15th, Island Christian Church Port Jefferson will celebrate its first year in the ministry.  Of course, the church that we occupy as Island Christian may be a year old – but this old church has seen its share of history, more than 150 years of it to be sure.   From its beginnings as a “point of light” for whalers coming to shore, through the Civil War era and into the twentieth century, the church has been a refuge and place of hope throughout the travails and triumphs of life in the Village.  A legacy that we pray continues and grows, by God’s grace. The entire community is invited on Sunday, April 15th at 10 am, as we look, not just back, but forward to what God has in store for us as we serve Him and this community.  Food and refreshments will be served immediately following the service.
