Trading pink grasshoppers for olives, Candice and Ralph Muñoz will be opening a new store called The Amazing Olive at 230 East Main Street in Port Jefferson selling balsamic vinegars and extra virgin olive oil and other specialty oils complete with a tasting bar. The site used to be home to The Pink Grasshopper, a small clothing boutique that specialized in dresses.
“At The Amazing Olive you are able to taste before you buy and have your favorite oils and vinegars bottled and sealed fresh,” the owners wrote on the store’s Facebook page.
They say that they also plan on carrying “gourmet sea salts, mustards, spices and jellies, as well as bath and body products made from olive oils.”
Local Real Estate Agent Maria Palmar placed the couple in the space.
You can also see the folks from The Amazing Olive at A Taste of Port Jefferson being held at the Port Jefferson Village Center on Oct. 20.
