The Port Jefferson Library and This Weekend's Activities

PJFL involved in this weekend's activities in the Village

This weekend, September 29 & 30, is going to be a busy one for the village. Between the 7th Annual Port Jefferson Music Festival to National Estuary Day, there will be activities for all interests and the Port Jeff Free Library will be involved in each event.

Our front porch on East Main Street will be the stage for various performers Saturday and Sunday afternoons as the 7th Annual Port Jefferson Music Festival hits town. Saturday's lineup includes Jeff Curtis (12:30 PM), Nigel's Acoustic Bridge (1:30 PM), Jem Warren (2:40 PM) and Rough Folk (3:40 PM).  On Sunday, beginning at 12:30 PM and starting on the hour, we will host Doug Baldwin, Debra Lynn, Tobacco Roadies and Kristhen.  In case of rain, Saturday's music will take place inside the Library and Sunday's performers will move to the Village Center on West Broadway.

Also, we will have staff manning an informational table at the Estuary Day 2012 events planned at Harborfront Part and the Maritime Explorium on Saturday, September 29 from noon - 5 pm.  This FREE family event will feature fish printing, a touch tank, biome building, poetry readings, boat restorations, gardening with native plants, and baby horseshoe crabs release.
