How many of us grew up learning that "April showers bring May flowers?"
I know I did, and as one who despises rain, I must have repeated that line thousands of times in my life. Anyone who doesn't live in a cave must have noticed that this April came and went with barely one day of rain. I rejoyced and danced in the sunshine. But then came May and with it all the rain we didn't get in April! Huh?
So I've got a theory. Dear Mother Nature, who is getting on in years, went to her calendar (as she does each month) on the last day of March and flipped to the next month. What she failed to notice was that the pages were stuck together and instead of April she flipped straight to May. Sunshine and spring flowers. It wasn't until the month ended did she realize her error.

"No problem," she thought. "I'll just do April now and then skip ahead to June, no one will ever notice"
Hence the flip flop and the rainy, rainy, rainy month of May.

Well to you Ms. Mother Nature, I did notice! So to you I say
Rain rain go away. Me and dolly want to play. Rain, rain go away. Don't come back another day!
