Be Famous at the Port Jefferson Library
Stop into the Port Jefferson Free Library with your favorite book and get your very own "Read" poster made.
No doubt you’ve seen them. Those famous "Read" posters where a celebrity on a poster poses with a favorite book. Well you can join in.
Get yourself and your favorite book to the . This event is open to all Port Jefferson Free Library cardholders. We’ll be turning our favorite celebrities (that’s you, our patrons) into their own Read posters. It’s been done here before. It started in 1995, and the tradition continued in 2001 and 2006. Now it returns.
Stop into the library from April 9 - 18 between 1 and 4 p.m. to have your photo taken. If you need an evening appointment please call the Library at (631) 473-0022 to make arrangements.

Please stop at the Circulation Desk and let one of the clerks know you are here for your picture. They will get the photographer for you. Please bring your favorite book or choose one while you are here. In an effort to go green, the posters will be going digital and a rotating display will be displayed on a flat screen TV near the Circulation Desk.
Join us at the Library on April 22, 2012 at 2pm for a special reception for the participants. The will be providing the refreshments. Printed copies of the digital posters will be available for a small fee.
