Do You Remember the Businesses That Have Come And Gone in Port Jefferson?

Turnover happens normally in a community, but what place do you miss the most?

Businesses have come and gone in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station through the years – and the slumping economy hasn't helped make things easier.

Notable exits include Moore's Gourmet Deli, which for years operated on Broadway. The rise in online video services also chased Blockbuster Video out of town.

The topic begs the question: Which eatery or store from the past do you miss the most? Tell us in the comments.

Nice to know someone remember Uncle Mac. His real name was Max. When he first open lower Port Jeff was very Irish, Uncle Mac was Jewish. He changed to "Mac" so the store became MacSnyders
