On Feb. 2, Earl L. Vandermeulen High School band students Joseph Kaming-Thanassi, Calla Kelly-Renda, Troy Lov and David Moir, along with students from the Hauppauge, Miller Place, Patchogue-Medford, Sayville and West Islip school districts, participated in the 56th annual Mid-Island Band Festival. The event concluded with an evening performance conducted by David Soto at Hauppauge High School.
