Plymouth Rocks!

The Edna Louise Spear Elementary School Scraggy Drama Club recently presented “DrumStyx…or Plymouth Rocks! The Story of the First Thanksgiving,” an original show about a modern-day family who have forgotten the real meaning of Thanksgiving. Under the direction of co-advisers Mary LaSita and Loraine Serabian, the 33 cast members put on a spectacular performance that recounted the struggles encountered by Pilgrims during their voyage to America in the 1600s.

“The students learned about the many aspects of putting on a musical production, including auditioning, memorizing lines, learning choreography and performing in front of an audience of their peers,” said LaSita. “Scraggy Drama Club president Emily Hearney, choreographer Tammy Serabian and sound adviser Tom Serabian were also integral in making this such a successful experience.”

The performance, the club’s eighth production, was attended by family, friends and members of the administration.
