Port Jeff BOE Members Sworn In; President, Vice President Re-elected

During the Port Jefferson Board of Education’s annual reorganizational meeting on July 1, board members Adam Dewitt and Robert Ramus, who were both re-elected by the community in May, were sworn in by District Clerk Janice Baisley, who was also sworn in during the meeting.

The board also unanimously re-elected Kathleen Brennan as board president and James Laffey as board vice president. The pair were administered the oath of office by Baisley.

“I thank the board for their vote of confidence,” Brennan said before being sworn in. “It has been a pleasure to serve and I am confident we will continue to do the same good job that we’ve been doing.”
