Port Jefferson BOE Congratulates Tenured Educators, Bids Farewell to Retirees

At its June 10 meeting, the Port Jefferson School District Board of Education bid a warm farewell to six retiring employees and congratulated nine educators on receiving tenure.

It was an emotional moment for principals and department heads as they shared kind words about the retiring teachers and secretaries who had worked tirelessly for the students, noting they could never truly be replaced.

“All of you touched the lives of students through your acts of kindness,” said Board President Kathleen Brennan.
