The Port Jefferson School District opened its doors this week for the start of another academic year. On the morning of Sept. 9, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth Bossert joined building principals and members of administration to welcome students as they arrived for their first day.
The halls were alive and bustling as students prepared for their first classes of the marking period. Friends reunited and greeted one another with open arms, and teachers warmly invited their students into class to begin instruction.
