Port Jefferson Students Recognized for Volunteer Efforts
At its June 10 meeting, the Port Jefferson School District Board of Education recognized and congratulated 23 Port Jefferson high school and middle school students on earning the Presidential Service Award.
The students, each of whom volunteered between 50 and 100 hours of their time to the Port Jefferson community, were presented with the award by parent volunteer Jackie Hull.
“We are happy to honor some of the best and brightest students in the district who have given back to their community,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth Bossert.
