Armed Robber Strikes Mt. Sinai Subway

No one hurt in robbery at sandwich shop on Nesconset Highway, police say.

Police are searching for a man who robbed the Mt. Sinai Subway Thursday night. 

Police say the unknown man entered the sandwich shop, located in the Mt. Sinai Shopping Center at 5507 Nesconset Highway, at 9:35 p.m. and displayed a firearm in his waistband. The man threatened an employee with the weapon and demanded money, police said.

The employee complied with the demands and the robber fled in an unknown direction, police said. No one was hurt during the robbery. 

The robber is described as a white male between 25-35 years old with a tattoo on his neck. He was wearing a black sweatshirt and black pants at the time of the robbery.
