Arrest Report: Port Jefferson Station Pair Charged with Stealing Quad

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

• Jonathan Delrio, 24, and Ray Pena, 19, both from Port Jefferson Station, were arrested April 30 in Selden and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, both felonies.

They are accused of stealing a Honda 400EX quad, as well as allegedly having a stolen 2004 Kawasaki motorcycle in their possession, at 4:02 a.m. on Magnolia Drive in Selden. Pena was also arrested on a bench warrant, for which a police spokesperson could not provide additional details.

Pena was also arrested on May 6 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Delrio pleaded guilty in January related to charges dating back to 2011; Pena was released on his own recognizance at a May 1 court date, and is due back in court on June 17.

• Gregory Vanostrand, 35, of Port Jefferson, was arrested April 30 in Port Jefferson and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Police said he was driving a dump truck on Jamaica Avenue in Port Jefferson at 9:22 a.m. with two license suspensions.

• Joseph Smith, 20, and William Jordan, 20, both from Selden, were arrested May 2 in Mt. Sinai and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor. Police said they were observed in a vehicle at the intersection of Route 25A and County Road 83, with Jordan the driver and Smith the passenger, with marijuana in their possession at 7:50 p.m.

• Tricia Vessa, 32, of Mt. Sinai, was arrested May 2 in Miller Place and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said she swerved repeatedly while driving west on Route 25A at Radio Avenue, and arrested her at 1:22 a.m.

• Derek Labarbera, 21, of Commack, was arrested May 4 in Port Jefferson and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor. Police said he was sitting in a car parked in the parking lot at Rocketship Park and had marijuana in his possession.
