Two Arrested, one Hospitalized After Fight In Parking Lot

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Alexis Pelengaris, 25, of Sound Beach was arrested at 3:25 a.m. on Sept. 16 in Port Jefferson and charged with DWI. Police say that Pelengaris was driving on North Country Road in a 2004 Honda and failed to make a turn from the left turning lane.

Two men got into a fight with an unidentified man in Port Jefferson on Sept. 16, sending one man to the hospital. Casey Terruso, 23, of Mastic, and Christopher Barwick, 29, of Bayport, were arrested and charged with assault. At about 3:35 a.m. Terruso and Barwick got into a fight with a third, unidentified man in the Brookhaven Town parking lot on West Broadway striking him in the head and face and sending him to the hospital. Police did not say which hospital he went to or what started the fight.

Jose Ramirez, 42, of West Babylon was arrested Sept. 17 at 3:14 a.m. on Route 25A near Oakland Avenue in Port Jefferson and charged with DWI. Police say that they pulled Ramirez over for speeding.

Four teens were arrested on Janet Street near Boyle Road in Port Jefferson Station on Sept. 19 at about 11 p.m. Sheena Castella, 19, of Koloa, HI, Amy Smith, 19, of Stony Brook, and [Redacted], 19, of Setauket, were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Castella and Smith allegedly had pills that were not prescribed to them. Police say that they found heroin in [Redacted's] 2002 Mazda. Court records show that Castella, Smith and [Redacted] were given desk appearance tickets. They are both due back in court on Nov. 26. An 18-year-old from East Setauket was with them and also charged with possession of a hypodermic needle.

Christopher Noselli, 33, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Sept. 20 on Terryville Road in Port Jefferson Station and charged with criminal possession of a weapon. Noselli was picked up for a warrant and allegedly had a baton on him.

Matthew Weiner, 23, of Setauket was arrested Sept. 21 on Main Street in Port Jefferson and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. When police stopped Weiner in his 2002 Nissan while traveling south on Main Street near Linden Place he allegedly had heroin on him.
