Cops: Mt. Sinai Man Drives Over Lawn, Charged with DWI
The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
• Police on Saturday arrested a Mt. Sinai man who they say caused property damage with his car as a result of an alleged DWI accident. According to police, 23-year-old Michael Moschetto hopped a curb on Plymouth Avenue, drove through a wrought-iron fence and into a gated community, drove across the lawn of at least one home, and drove through some trees before coming to a stop. He was arrested at 3:30 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Moschetto was not injured in the accident.
• Dominick Reany, 19, of Rocky Point, was arrested July 27 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor. Police said they observed Reany cross over a double yellow line, fail to signal for a turn and fail to stay in his lane. He was arrested at Miles Lane and Tammy Drive in Port Jefferson Station at 1:20 a.m.
• A 26-year-old Rocky Point woman was arrested on July 26 at 9 p.m. in Port Jefferson and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Police said she was driving her 2011 Honda on Belle Terre Road knowing she had a suspended license, which they said had been revoked 13 times.
