Crime Report: Argument Results in Violence

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department and does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station during Sept. 13-20:

Gregory Garabedian, 21, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Sept. 20 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana. Garabedian was arrested for the alleged marijuana purchase in public at approximately 11:20 p.m. 

Jessica Calo, 69, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Sept. 17 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. Calo was arrested for allegedly operating a 2002 Honda while impaired by drugs. Reports indicate she was traveling on Route 347 and Terryville Rd. at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Juan Ortiz, 33, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Sept. 17 in Port Jefferson and charged with two counts of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Ortiz was arrested for the alleged cocaine possession in her drivers seat.   

Carlos Martinez, 24, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Sept. 17 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with third degree assault.

Jonathan Merced, 24, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Sept. 15 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with criminal obstruction. Merced was arrested for allegedly placing a pillow over a females head during an argument.
