Crime Report: Brawl Erupts During Sweet 16 at Mount Sinai Heritage Center

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department and does not indicate a conviction.

Michael Lionetti, 18, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on May 19 at 10:58 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of controlled substance and assault. Lionetti was allegedly in possession of crack cocaine. Police say he resisted arrest and assaulted a police officer.

Thomas Baxter, 37, of Coram, was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on May 20 at 7:30 p.m. and charged with petit larceny and disorderly conduct. Baxter allegedly took deodorant from the . Police report that he also was using obscene language and acting in a disorderly manner on the sidewalk near the strip mall.

Daniel Abruzzese, 37, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested May 20 in Setauket and charged with first-degree operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. According to police, Abruzzese was found in a parking lot on Route 25A at 6:32 a.m. slumped over in the driver's seat with the car running, and a controlled substance was found in the vehicle.

Luis Garcia, 30, of Middle Island, was arrested in Port Jefferson on May 21 at 10:15 a.m. and charged with harassment. Garcia was on Main Street and Hallock Avenue when he allegedly spit on another man and hit him on his left leg.

While leaving La Paz bar in Port Jefferson on May 21 at 4:35 a.m., four men allegedly harassed and tripped someone after an earlier altercation.

A 17-year old woman from Port Jefferson Station was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on May 22 and charged with assault. She allegedly punched someone in the face and slammed the other person’s head on the ground, causing a concussion.

On May 23, a person entered through a back sliding glass door of a residence on Linda Street in Port Jefferson Station and removed a safe with jewelry and cash.

On May 24 at 11 p.m., someone at Cedar Beach punched another person in the head after a dispute.

On May 24 a call came into police at about 6:45 a.m. about a smashed window on a Toyota Rav 4 in the parking lot in Port Jefferson.

On May 24 at around 4 p.m., a 2011 Buick parked near the parking lot in Port Jefferson had its window smashed.

Matt Bracciodieta, 24, of Port Jefferson, was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on May 25 at 9:20 p.m. and charged with fleeing a police officer. He was driving a 1998 Chevrolet when he was directed by a police officer to stop his vehicle. Allegedly, Bracciodieta did not comply and drove recklessly down several roads, making unsafe turns before police arrested him.

A fight broke out during a Sweet 16 party at the Heritage Center in Mount Sinai on May 25 at around 9:40 p.m. Police received a report of about twenty youths fighting in front of the clubhouse at 633 Mount Sinai Coram Road. According to a police report, the security guard was surrounded and someone cursed and punched another person.

On May 26 at about 2:45 a.m. someone at was seen taking a throw pillow and large houseplants and putting them into a 2004 Lexus.
