Crime Report: Broken Nose After a Fight at La Paz

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department and does not indicate a conviction.

On May 27 someone on Kingston Road in Mount Sinai called police at about 10 p.m. complaining that someone had damaged his vinyl fence and that it is an on-going problem.

Someone on Kingston Road in Mount Sinai called police at about 2:30 p.m. on May 28 saying that another person grabbed his wrist causing him to be fearful.

Roxanne Morro, 18, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on May 28 at 8:15 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief. Morro allegedly took a pair of Wiley-X sunglasses off the head of another person and intentionally broke them during an altercation.

A 17-year old Port Jefferson Station man was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on May 28 at 1:48 a.m. and charged with driving while impaired by drugs.  The man was allegedly speeding in a 2005 Nissan Altima on Route 112 and failed to stop at a stop sign. After police pulled him over, the officers detected a strong odor of marijuana from his vehicle and said that he showed signs of drug impairment. They also noted that he allegedly was in possession of a glass pipe containing marijuana.

Beverly Haupt, 50, of Coram, was arrested in Port Jefferson on May 28 at 12:05 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated. While driving a 2010 Toyota Camry, Haupt was involved in a car crash, damaging the front and side of her vehicle. She was allegedly intoxicated and arrested.

Luis Garcia, 30, of Middle Island was arrested on May 30 at about 6:20 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief. Garcia allegedly threw a brick through a car window on Linden Place in Port Jefferson Station.

On May 30 at about 8:50 a.m. someone on Salisbury Road in Mount Sinai called police to complain that someone broke down a front door and took items.

Someone on Coram-Mt. Sinai Road in Mount Sinai called police on May 30 at about 7 p.m. saying that a wallet was taken from an unlocked vehicle.

On May 31 at about 12:20 a.m. someone called police saying that he was hit in the back by what looks to be a pellet while on Maple Avenue in Port Jefferson Station. No injuries were reported.

Andrea Mathosian, 21, of East Setauket, was arrested in Mount Sinai on May 31 at 1:11 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated. Mathosian was allegedly speeding in a 2001 Toyota sedan while intoxicated.

On May 31 at about 6 p.m. someone on Edgewood Avenue in Port Jefferson called police to complaint that a mailbox at that location was knocked off its base.

On June 2 at 2:20 a.m. someone called police to say that an unknown male started a fight with him at on Main Street in Port Jefferson. The caller had a broken nose and a laceration to his left eye. He was treated at a nearby hospital.
