Crime Report: Grand Larceny, Possession of a Controlled Substance
Stolen jewelry, two arrests for driving while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance top this week's offenses in our blotter

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.
Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station during April 13-17.

[Redacted], 21, of Mount Sinai was arrested April 17 in Selden and charged with third degree grand larceny. Reports state [Redacted] was arrested for an alleged incident that occurred between Jan. 15 and March 16. He allegedly stole men’s and women’s jewelry from a residence.
Rene Lamorelle, 54, of Port Jefferson was arrested April 17 in Port Jefferson and charged with criminal obstruction of property. Reports state Lamorelle was arrested for an alleged dispute.

Alexander Parouse, 30, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested April 15 in Selden and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Reports state Parouse was arrested on Magnolia Dr., Selden for the alleged possession of a controlled substance. Reports also state the substance was found in his 1996 Saturn.
Justin Ligon, 23, of Coram was arrested April 14 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with second degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Reports state Ligon was allegedly operating his 2006 Jeep Liberty at approximately 10:20 a.m. while intoxicated. He was traveling southbound on Old Town Rd. when officers spotted him.
Ashley Haskell, 22, of Miller Place was arrested April 13 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state Haskell was arrested after allegedly operating her 2011 Hyundai northbound on Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station while intoxicated.
Matthew Fortuna, 25, of Stony Brook was arrested April 13 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state Fortuna was allegedly intoxicated while seated in the driver’s seat with his keys in the ignition of a 1996 Nissan.
