Crime Report: Coram Man Robs, Threatens Another Man in Port Jefferson Station

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Oct. 1 at about 9 p.m. the landlord of a residence on Beach Street in Port Jefferson went to collect rent money from a tenant who would not pay it. The landlord reportedly threatened the tenant and punched the front door causing a small dent.

An unknown person damaged the rear window of a residence on Harbor Hills Drive in Belle Terre on Oct. 1.

Luke Guggino, 22, of Coram was arrested at 9:45 p.m. on Oct. 2 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with robbery, a felony. Guggino was on Old Town Road, east of Boyle Road when he allegedly grabbed an iPhone from a man and threatened to kill him. According to court records Guggino is set to be arraigned on Oct. 10.

Sean Henderson, 45, of Port Jefferson was arrested on Oct. 3 in Miller Place and charged with first offense DWI, a misdemeanor. Police say that Henderson was making a turn from Parkside Avenue onto Route 25A heading west in a 2003 black Jeep Grand Cheroke when he hit another vehicle. Henderson was taken to Stony Brook Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Andrew Kim, 21, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested at 3:59 a.m. on Oct. 3 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with first offence DWI, a misdemeanor. Police say that Kim was driving in a 2009 Mercedes heading north on Route 112 when he was pulled over for speeding.

Three men stole money and broke the cell phone of another person somewhere on Route 112 near the 7-Eleven and Pax Christi at about 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 6, according to a police report.

John Saffarano, 19, of Port Jefferson was arrested at 7:20 p.m. on Oct. 7 in Port Jefferson and charged with menacing, a misdemeanor. Saffarano was on Route 112 and Cherub Lane when he allegedly pointed a knife at a man and threatened him.

At 1:15 a.m. on Oct. 7, two white men wearing backpacks were spotted by police in St. Charles Hospital parking lot inserting unknown objects into a 1997 Infinity. The car had damage to the top of the doorframe. The suspects were not caught.
