Crime Report: Driver Passes Out, Charged with DWI

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department and does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station during Sept. 21-27:

Harold Fliefer, 48, of Charlotte, was arrested Sept. 27 in Port Jefferson and charged with first offense DWI. Fliefer was arrested for allegedly falling asleep in the drivers seat with the key in the ignition at approximately 10:40 p.m. Reports indicate the driver was intoxicated.    

William Frierson, 57, of Port Jefferson was arrested Sept. 24 and charged with first offense DWI. Frierson was arrested for the alleged suspended registration due to an insurance lapse, and DWI. Reports indicate the incident occurred at approximately 1:11 a.m. in his 1998 Nissan.

Arthur Strumpfler, 43, of Middle Island was arrested Sept. 25 and charged with six counts of third degree larceny, one count of third degree burglary, and one count of fourth degree grand larceny. Strumpfler allegedly stole tools, and equipment from storage facilities throughout Suffolk County.    

Marvin Santiagcopena, 24, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Sept. 21 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and third degree narcotics. Santiagcopena was arrested for the alleged possession of a drug at approximately 2:34 p.m. on Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station.
