Crime Report: DWI Charge, Menacing Charge, and Warrant for Arrest

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Port Jefferson

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station during Feb. 23-28 

David Fruhauf, 20, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Feb. 28 in Selden and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Reports state at approximately 6:45 p.m. Fruhauf was involved in a traffic stop while operating his 1998 Chevy on Boyle Rd. The officer allegedly discovered marijuana on his person.     

Gregory Garabedian, 21, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Feb. 26 in Farmingville and charged with second degree menacing and criminal mischief. At approximately 3:23 a.m., Garabedian allegedly struck a vehicle in a parking lot on Portion Rd., Farmingville after traveling through the lot.

Jacquelyn Delrio, 18, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Feb. 25 in Selden and charged with two counts of Grand Larceny charges. Delrio was arrested at the sixth precinct for an incident that occurred on May 31, 2010. Delrio allegedly stole a 2004 Ford Focus without permission from a residence on Joelane Drive.   

Yutdeny McLeod, 33, of Port Jefferson was arrested at his home Feb. 24 for a warrant for his arrest.

Panfilo Velasquez, 40, of Central Islip was arrested Feb. 24 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state Velasquez was traveling west on Willis Ave., Port Jefferson Station at approximately 3:27 p.m. in his 1991 Honda and struck a snow bank. Velasquez was allegedly driving while intoxicated.    

Robert Tolley, 23, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Feb. 23 in South Setauket and charged with petit larceny. Tolley allegedly stole two cases of Ensure from the Walmart in South Setauket.   

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must email the writer and provide proof of dismissal.
