Crime Report: DWI Charges and Brother Prevents Officers From Arresting Brother

Also a charge of possession of a controlled substance in Port Jefferson Station.

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station during April 21-26.

Jennifer Romeo, 35, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested April 26 in Medford and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

Jesse Balzarano, 21, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested April 25 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with second degree obstruction of governmental administration. Reports indicate his brother was being arrested by officers when Jesse allegedly blocked an officer.

Joshua Balzarano, (unknown age), of Port Jefferson Station was arrested April 25 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with second degree obstruction of governmental administration, and resisting arrest. 

 Ryan Leonhardt, 26, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested April 22 in South Setauket and charged with DWI. Reports state he was involved in a crash on Sheep Pasture Rd., South Setauket when officers discovered he was intoxicated.  The accident occurred at approximately 8:21 p.m.

A seventeen year old male, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested April 21 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with DWI. Reports state the youth was operating a 2004 Chevy Trail Blazer on Lyndon St., Port Jefferson Station at approximately 11:01 p.m. when he was arrested for alleged DWI.
