Crime Report: Hypodermic Needle Discovery and Knife Flasher

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Port Jefferson

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station during Oct. 31—Nov. 6: 

Thomas Dantonio, 29, of Port Jefferson was arrested Nov. 3 in Centereach and arrested for possession of a hypodermic needle.  Reports state at approximately 12:45 p.m. Dantonio was arrested on Eastwood Blvd. after officers discovered the needle on the driver's seat of a 2008 Ford. 

Yovani Cruzflores, 35, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Nov. 1 in Port Jefferson and charged with menacing. Reports state Cruzflores was arrested on Jane Blvd. at approximately 11:56 p.m. after displaying a knife to a male victim.

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must write the writer and provide proof of dismissal.
