Crime Report: Hypodermic Needle Possession, Burglary, and Home Invasion

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in Port Jefferson.

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station during March 17-22.

Raymond Frisch, 52, of Miller Place was arrested March 22 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with second degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Reports state Frisch was arrested on Route 112 at approximately 9:03 p.m., Port Jefferson Station after allegedly operating his 2002 BMW northbound on Route 112 without a driver’s license.

Daniel Ohara, 19, of South Setauket was arrested March 19 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Reports state Ohara allegedly possessed drugs in his 1998 Audi at approximately 4:27 p.m.

Nicholas Lang, 28, of Miller Place was arrested March 18 in Port Jefferson and charged with four charges of criminal mischief. Reports state Lang was arrested on Main St., Port Jefferson Station after allegedly removing the driver side rearview mirror off of a vehicle.  

Glenn Harris, 42, of Selden was arrested March 18 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with first degree criminal contempt, and two counts of third degree burglary. Reports state Harris allegedly broke into a vacant residence at approximately 2 a.m.

A sixteen year old male of Port Jefferson Station was arrested March 18 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with second degree narcotics. Reports state on Nov. 3, 2009, he allegedly sold drugs at approximately 7:40 p.m.  

Cory Hayes, 18, of Centereach was arrested March 17 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument. Reports state Hayes allegedly possessed a hypodermic needle at approximately 7:50 p.m.   

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must email the writer and provide proof of dismissal.
