Incident Report: Woman Punched at Port Jazz

Also this week, residents reported having their cars vandalized, and receiving threats.

• A female patron at in Port Jefferson called police on Aug. 17 to report she was punched repeatedly by another woman at Port Jazz at around 11:45 p.m. on Aug. 16. The incident was classified as second-degree harassment.

• An employee at in Port Jefferson called police on Aug. 18 to report receiving a threatening phone call at approximately 6:25 p.m. The incident was classified as aggravated harassment.

• A female resident of Greene Ave. in Port Jefferson Station called police on Aug. 17 to report receiving a threatening letter in the mail. The incident was classified as aggravated harassment.

• A resident of William St. in Port Jefferson Station called police on Aug. 16 to report someone had broken the back window of their 2001 Ford Escape sometime between 1 a.m. and 10 a.m. that day. The incident was classified as fourth-degree criminal mischief.

• A resident of Cambridge Dr. in Port Jefferson called police on Aug. 15 to report someone had slashed two tires and scratched the paint on their 2011 Nissan Armada. The incident was classified as third-degree criminal mischief.
