Crime Report: Kicking a Sign in Front of Suffolk County National Bank

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department and does not indicate a conviction.

Onur Kar, 25, of Port Jefferson, was arrested on Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station on March 11 at about 6:09 a.m. and charged with DWI.

A seventeen-year old from Port Jefferson Station was arrested in Port Jefferson on March 7 at about 1:30 a.m. and charged with third degree criminal mischief. He allegedly kicked a no parking sign on in front of the at 135 West Broadway.

Jennifer Portuese, 27, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on March 9 at about 11:55 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Portuese was on Huron Street allegedly in possession of heroin and a hyperdermic instrument.

Jesse Neff, 30, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on March 9 at about 11:55 p.m. and charged with loitering and criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was on Huron Street allegedly in possession of prescription drugs that did not belong to him.

Carlos Cabrera, 27, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested on Route 25A in Mount Sinai on March 8 at about 12:25 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.

Megan Rathje, 21, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested in Mount Sinai on March 8 at about 12:37 a.m. and charged with DWI. Rathje was driving west on Route 25A when she was pulled over for driving without a functioning brake light.

Debra Burke, 38, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested on in Port Jefferson on March 8 and charged with grand larceny. Burke allegedly said that she was the legal owner of a 1995 Chevrolet Suburban when she was not. Burke also allegedly tried to junk the Suburban and was charged with filing a false record.

Michael Bernzott, 41of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on March 4 and charged with leaving the scene of an accident. Bernzott  allegedly crashed a 2003 Dodge Ram into a parked 2002 Pontiac and left the scene without reporting the accident.
