Crime Report: Leaving the Scene of an Accident

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department and does not indicate a conviction.

Andrew Lunn, 56, of Port Jefferson, was arrested March 16 in Stony Brook and charged with DWI. Police say they observed Lunn crossing over the double yellow line on Route 25A in Stony Brook.

Maria Malizia, 25, of Mt. Sinai, was arrested in Mt. Sinai on March 15 at about 1:30 a.m. and charged with DWI. Police report that Mailizia was pulled over on Hallock Avenue in Mt. Sinai for speeding.

John Bernard, 21, of Rocky Point, was arrested in Mt. Sinai on March 15 at about 3:35 a.m. and charged with DWI. Police said that Bernard was pulled over for changing lanes without signaling.

Mark Ostrowski, 55, of Mt. Sinai, was arrested in Mt. Sinai on March 15 at about 9:20 p.m. and charged with DWAI. Ostrowski was pulled over by police on Hamlet Drive in Mt. Sinai for weaving.

Brian Glass, 51, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on March 15 at about 10:12 a.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police report that Glass was seated in the passenger seat of a car parked on Champlain Street when he was arrested.

Jeffrey Demonte, 50, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on March 15 at about 10:12 a.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police say that Demonte was in a car parked on Champlain Street when he was arrested along with Glass, above.

Anna Messina, 21, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested in Port Jefferson Station on March 15 at about 4:40 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. Police report that Messina was involved in a motor vehicle crash on North Bicycle Park and Clinton Avenue.

On March 15, someone from Alden Drive on Port Jefferson reported to police that an unknown person damaged a mailbox.

Vastie Ferraro, 40, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested in Centereach on March 13 at about 1:10 p.m. and charged with DWI and leaving the scene of an accident. At about noon on March 13, Ferraro allegedly lost control of his vehicle and drove up on the lawn of a home in Centereach. Police say that Ferraro fled the scene but police found him and he was arrested about an hour later.
