Crime Report: Man Allegedly Leaves the Scene of an Accident While Drunk Driving

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Dec. 8 at about 3:19 a.m., the surveillance camera at Chandler Square Ice Cream was damaged by an unidentified white male, according to a police report. An investigation is ongoing.

Someone was taken to Stony Brook Hospital with a broken nose after being assaulted by another person on West Broadway in Port Jefferson on Dec. 8 at about 12:30 p.m.

Roger Villatoro, 41, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested on Dec. 8 and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. Villatoro was driving on Railroad Avenue in Port Jefferson Station when he allegedly hit another car while drunk. Police say he left the scene without leaving the required information. He was arrested in Jefferson Plaza on Route 112 at 4:15 p.m. Court records show that Villatoro was released on his own recognizance on Dec. 9. He is due back in court on Jan. 10.
