Crime Report: Man Assaulted in Jefferson Plaza Shopping Center

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Oct. 15, a woman in Port Jefferson received unwanted phone calls from someone who threatened her, according to a police report.

Someone stole the hood ornament from a 2005 Jaguar that was in a parking lot on Oakland Avenue on Oct. 17 at about 10 a.m.

Santa Batista, 43, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested on Oct. 18 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with making a false written statement, a misdemeanor. Police say that Batista crashed into a handrail while driving on Route 347 damaging it, then fled the scene of the accident. She allegedly told police that another car had hit her when it did not.

Nicolas Bolettieri, 18, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested on Oct. 19 on Canal Road in Port Jefferson Station and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Bolettieri was allegedly in possession of mushrooms.

After a fight on Oct. 19 at about 10:40 p.m. between two men on Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station, one was taken to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital with a cut above his eye and swelling on his head.

John Grippo, 39, of Mastic Beach, was arrested on Oct. 20 on Main Street in Port Jefferson and charged with circumventing an interlock device, a misdemeanor. Police pulled Grippo over for a traffic stop and found that the 1999 Lincoln he was driving did not have an interlock device as required.

On Oct. 20 at about 11:15 p.m. two unknown men were walking passed another man in the Jefferson Plaza Shopping Center in Port Jefferson Station and punched him in the head. The man did not seek medical treatment.

On Oct. 21 at about 3:15 p.m., a woman in a parking lot on West Broadway told police that she was pushed by another person. The woman was blocking her license plate from a man who was attempting to write down her plate number. The man used his knee to push her away. Person was parking lot on West Broadway. She said that she was in the parking lot to pick someone up.
