Crime Report: Man Yells for No Reason at 7-11

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department and does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County Police Department Sixth Precinct reported these incidental arrests in Port Jefferson and Port Jefferson Station during Sept. 28-Oct. 3:

Carol Kappen, 42, of Middle Island was arrested Oct. 1 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Kappen was arrested for the alleged operation of a Honda Civic without a driver’s license on Route 112, Port Jefferson Station.

Christopher Murphy, 36, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Sept. 30 in Centereach and charged with first offense DWI. Murphy was arrested for the alleged operation of a 2004 Chevrolet while intoxicated. Reports indicate Murphy was traveling south on Nicolls Rd., at approximately 3:20 a.m.

Robin Payne, Jr., 26, of Hampton Bays was arrested Sept. 29 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with obscene language and gestures. Payne was arrested for allegedly yelling and cursing in front of 7-Eleven located on Route 112 for no apparent reason.

Osiris Mercado, 29, of Coram was arrested Sept. 29 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana. Mercado was arrested for the alleged possession of marijuana in a 1996 Honda.

Joel Almanzar, 27, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Sept. 29 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with loitering an unlawful use of a controlled substance. Almanzar was arrested for the alleged possession of cocaine in a 1996 Honda.

Carlos Cabrera, unknown age, of Port Jefferson Station was arrested Sept. 29 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with loitering an unlawful use of a controlled substance. Cabrera, a passenger in a 1996 Honda, and accompained by Almanzar, allegedly was arrested for alleged possession of cocaine.

Harvey C. Robinson, Jr., 68, of Port Jefferson was arrested Sept. 29 in Patchogue and charged with fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property. Robinson allegedly stole a watch, and attempted to pawn it.
