Crime Report: Police Charge 3 with DWI
The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
• Thomas Mertz, 40, of Miller Place, was arrested July 12 at 2:33 a.m. in Port Jefferson Station and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police pulled him over after he allegedly made a left turn onto Davis Avenue from Canal Road without using his signal, and charged him with DWI.
• Daniel Gray, 22, of Setauket, was arrested July 11 at 3:24 a.m. in Port Jefferson Station and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police pulled him over at Route 347 and Terryville Road, saying he didn't fully stop at a stop sign, and charged him with DWI.
• Erin Shaw, 25, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested July 10 at 3:10 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police pulled her over on Nancy Street, saying she did failed to stay in her lane, and charged her with DWI.
