Crime Report: Police Make Arrests for Alleged DWI, Drug Possession

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

• Anthony Maynes, 22, of Coram, was arrested July 5 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police pulled him over as he drove west on Route 347 at Medical Drive and failed to stay in his lane at 1:40 a.m.

• A 46-year-old man from Riverhead was arrested July 3 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and petty larceny, both misdemeanors. Police said they caught him using a drug while he was standing at a bus stop at Cherub Lane and Route 112 at 11:20 a.m. The charge of petty larceny stemmed from a bench warrant for a previous incident.

• A 22-year-old woman from Shoreham and a 22-year-old woman from Riverhead were arrested together on a pair of drug charges in Port Jefferson Station on July 2. Police stopped them at about 3 p.m. in a vehicle in front of America's Best Value Inn on Route 112. They charged the Shoreham woman with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and charged the Riverhead woman with loitering with unlawful use of a controlled substance, a violation.

• A 54-year-old woman from Port Jefferson was arrested July 2 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with petty larceny,  Police said she took books, cosmetics and other beauty products from Pathmark at around 2:30 p.m.

• A 27-year-old homeless man was arrested July 1 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Police said he illegally had prescription pills in his possession while in the parking lot of Colosseo Pizza on Route 112.

• Anthony Notarnicola, 23, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested July 1 in Coram and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they found him sitting in his car at about 12:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Movieland Cinemas with the key in the ignition, and said he was intoxicated.
