Crime Report: Police Make Arrests for DWI, Burglary, Weapon Possession
The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County police department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Deborah Mastro, 46, of Port Jefferson, was arrested Jan. 15 in Stony Brook and charged with first-offense DWI, a misdemeanor. Mastro allegedly collided with another car while driving on Stony Brook Road, and police said she failed a sobriety test.
Alexander Timofeyev, 21, of Sound Beach, was arrested Jan. 17 in Mt. Sinai and charged with first-offense DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said he was driving east on Route 25A with his bright headlights on, causing a hazard to another driver, and said he appeared to be intoxicated.
Samantha Cotroneo, 21, of Mt. Sinai, was arrested Jan. 15 in Centereach and charged with second-degree burglary, a felony. She was arrested alongside Anthony Sinatra, 21, of Centereach, for allegedly burglarizing a home on Forest Road in Centereach. Police said Cotroneo knocked on the front door and determined that no one was home, while Sinatra broke a rear window, entered the home, and took a bag containing jewelry and various other items.

Christina Garabedian, 20, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested Jan. 18 in Miller Place and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor. Police said Garabedian was in a vehicle on North Country Road with a black billy club on the floor of the car.
Suffolk police reported the following incidents in Port Jefferson, Port Jefferson Station, and Mt. Sinai between Jan. 13 and Jan 17:

- On Jan. 13, a patron at Port Jazz in Port Jefferson called to report he was struck by another person between 2 a.m. and 3 p.m. Everyone was asked to leave the bar following the incident, according to the report.
- On Jan. 14, a resident of Possum Lane in Port Jefferson Station reported that someone assaulted him in his own driveway.
- On Jan. 15, a resident of Wilson Drive in Port Jefferson reported a burglary that took place sometime between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. According to a police report, the homeowner returned home to find the gate open, a broken window on the back door, and a brick near that door. The homeowner found the closets in the home to be open but it was unclear whether anything was stolen.
- On Jan. 17 at 5:30 p.m., a resident of Wheat Path Road East in Mt. Sinai reported that someone had shattered windows on a vehicle.
